Course Overview
The Palmer Course at PGA National is an Arnold Palmer-designed layout playing 7,079 yards with a rating of 74.6 and slope of 141. The Palmer design brings the King's characteristic blend of risk-reward holes and visual drama, with water hazards on the majority of holes and strategic bunkering that creates multiple playing lines. It's the second-most challenging course at the resort, offering a championship test that rewards aggressive play while punishing mistakes.
Fairway Conditions
Excellent resort conditioning with Arnold Palmer's design philosophy on full display. Bermuda fairways are well-maintained with strategic shaping and water features that add both beauty and challenge. The course plays firm and fast, rewarding accurate approach play and thoughtful course management. Conditions match the resort's premium standards.
Why I Love This Course
â Alex Haigh
"The Palmer Course is where I see the most smiles on the resort — it's demanding enough to be interesting but fun enough to be enjoyable. Arnold Palmer designed courses to be exciting, and this one delivers with risk-reward holes that make you think about going for it. The 7,079-yard layout from the tips is a proper test, but the forward tees open it up for higher handicappers. I particularly love the par-3s — they're well-designed with dramatic water carries that look harder than they play."
