— Course Overview
Designed by Ron Garl, Sailfish Sands is an 18-hole par 72 that features four sets of tees to accommodate beginners and seasoned pros alike. The back tees play to 6,221 yards and the forward tees play to 4,979 yards. The course features tight fairways, small greens and water on nearly every hole. The signature hole is #9, a long dog-leg right par 4 with trees on the right and water on the left, creating a narrow landing area. But the green is receptive, so a birdie is not impossible.

Well-maintained Bermuda grass fairways with excellent drainage thanks to the renovated layout. The proximity to the St. Lucie River means morning dew is common, but conditions dry out quickly. Greens are consistent and well-paced — a solid municipal course that punches above its weight.

“This is where I tell people to start if they're visiting the Treasure Coast and just want to get a feel for the area. It's a municipal course, so it won't blow you away with luxury amenities — but the layout is honest, the location is beautiful, and you're playing golf near the water in Stuart. I've brought my kids here for twilight rounds and it's always a good time. Don't sleep on the par-3 course either — it's perfect for a quick evening round.”

— About Sands 9
Our Sands 9 Course is a family-friendly course set up to accommodate players of all ages and skill levels. This is an innovative reversible 9-hole course designed by renowned golf course architect John Sanford (Sanford Golf Design). The course is set up to be played in one direction (Sands Black) and then flipped on a different day to play in the opposite direction (Sands Gold). The direction of the course will be determined by management and is based on the time of year, course conditions, and other factors. The current course direction will be available on the tee sheet.
— Putting Green
Our spacious 10,000-square-foot practice putting green is located beside the pro shop and offers almost every putting scenario you will encounter on the course. Come practice your putting stroke from dawn to dusk, with 10 different hole locations changed weekly.
Rules: No chipping. No running. Proper golf attire required. Putting Green Hours: Monday through Sunday, dawn to dusk.
— Short Game Area
Sailfish Sands offers one of the best public short game areas in the county, where you can practice anything from your bunker game to a 10-yard chip shot to an 80-yard approach shot.
Rules: 9 iron and wedges only. Please be courteous to fellow golfers. Rake balls when finished. Do not remove balls from short game area. Proper golf attire required. Hours: Monday through Sunday, dawn to dusk.

Power Principle Program (P3)
The Power Principle Program (P3) was designed to help golfers understand golf in its simplest terms so that they will be able to fix any issues and become completely self-reliant. The Power Principle philosophy is that all movements in golf have a direct relationship to the creation of power, which makes any swing issue very easy to fix. P3 is understanding where the power is created, harnessed and how it is then delivered. P3 applies to all golf teaching philosophies and methodologies and simplifies the thought process for students so that they can apply this curriculum during play. The program is a five-lesson series and each individual lesson is one hour long.
Pricing: $249.99 for a 5-lesson program. Day and Time: Sundays at 1:30 PM.
WELCOME2GOLF Program
Learning the game of golf can be intimidating, but here at Sailfish Sands Golf Course, we've got you covered - especially when it comes to taking your beginner game to the next level. The WELCOME2GOLF Program is a fun and enjoyable golf learning experience for adult beginners and a great way to introduce you to the world of golf! Begin by meeting with our staff as you tour our facility, the golf course and eventually take your first swing at the ball! Remember, every golfer has their first day on the golf course. Why not have yours with the help and support of a golf expert? The WELCOME2GOLF program is a 5-lesson series, and each individual lesson is 60 minutes long.
