Sandhill Crane Golf Club
Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach County
Course Overview
Sandhill Crane Golf Club is a Roy Case-designed public course in Palm Beach Gardens playing 6,500 yards with a rating of 70.5 and slope of 125. The moderate slope makes this one of the most playable championship courses in the area — a layout that rewards good shots without destroying your scorecard. Named for the sandhill cranes that frequent the property, it's a pleasant, well-maintained course that offers solid value in Palm Beach Gardens.
Fairway Conditions
Well-maintained Bermuda fairways with a straightforward layout that plays the way it looks. The course is in consistently good condition, with good drainage and well-kept greens. The Roy Case design features native landscaping and water hazards that add visual interest without being overly penal. A good value play in a premium area.
Why I Love This Course
â Alex Haigh
"Sandhill Crane is one of those courses that's easy to overlook because it doesn't have the big-name designer pedigree — but that's exactly why I like it. The Roy Case layout is honest and well-designed, the conditioning is solid, and the pricing is some of the best you'll find in Palm Beach Gardens. I send a lot of recreational golfers here because the 125 slope means you can actually enjoy your round without the course beating you up. And if you're lucky, you'll see the sandhill cranes that give the course its name — they just wander across the fairways like they own the place."
