Course Overview

The Blue Course at Mariner Sands was designed by Frank Duane in 1973 and plays Par 72 at 6,811 yards from the back tees with a rating of 72.5 and slope of 129. It features a traditional layout with Bermuda grass tees, fairways, and greens, offering balanced strategic challenges and well-manicured landing areas. The Gold Course was redesigned by Tom Fazio in 1981 and plays Par 72 at approximately 6,877 yards from the back tees with a rating of 74.1 and slope of 130. The Gold plays across rolling, slightly hilly terrain for South Florida, featuring elevated greens, intricate bunkering, and scenic water carries. Hole #6 is a notable signature par-3 guarded tightly by water and sand. Together, the two courses offer 36 holes of elite private golf in a 728-acre gated community.

Alex's Take

From Alex Haigh

“The Gold Course is the one that gets people talking about Mariner Sands. The Fazio redesign gave it this championship feel that you don't always find at private clubs of this size -- it plays like a tour-level layout on a manageable scale. The 73.4 rating means it's a legitimate test, and the conditioning is always immaculate. I've walked this course with clients who ended up buying in the community specifically because of the golf. That says everything.”
