The Champions Club at Summerfield is a public, Tom Fazio-designed 18 at 3400 SE Summerfield Way in south Stuart. Long listed as Atlantic Ridge Golf Club for the Atlantic Ridge Preserve State Park that borders the Summerfield community, it is one course under one name. The club's scorecard marks it as established in 1994 (its About page says it was built in 1993). GolfPass describes a layout routed through a briny wetland about three miles from the Atlantic, and the marsh and native vegetation framing the holes give it a sense of being miles from anything, even though you're minutes from downtown Stuart. Fazio's strategic bunkering and natural shaping define the holes, and the course has received a commendation from the Audubon Society. The par 72 plays 6,890 yards from the Gold tees with a 72.8 rating and 135 slope, with Blue, White, and Green tees down to 4,977 yards.

Public golfers rate the course 4.5 out of 5 across more than 2,600 GolfPass reviews, with category scores of 4.3 for conditions, 4.6 for layout, and 4.7 for friendliness, and many reviewers call the greens fast and true. Golf Digest's panel is cooler at 2.6 out of 5, and its reviews note that the marsh setting can leave the course playing wet after rain. Book early tee times for the best pace in season.

Stuart has a humid subtropical climate with mild, drier winters and warm, humid summers that support year-round golf. Peak season from November through April brings comfortable mid-70s highs. Summers push into the upper 80s and low 90s with typical afternoon thunderstorms from June through September, when the marsh setting can hold water after heavy rain.

“What I love about Summerfield is the setting. You're playing a Tom Fazio course with the Atlantic Ridge Preserve as your backdrop, and it feels like you've been transported somewhere wilder than South Florida. The Fazio design is everything you'd expect from his team: strategic, beautiful, and fair. The 135 slope from the tips means it rewards precision, but the generous tee boxes make it accessible for all skill levels. I've had clients fall in love with the Summerfield community just from playing a round here, and I totally understand why. The combination of championship golf and that preserve setting is genuinely special.”

Daily rates include a shared cart and vary by season and time of day. The club's published 2026 summer rates (May 1 to October 31) are $64.79 from 7 am to noon, $54.46 from noon to 2 pm, and $44.13 after 2 pm. A $150 Summer Membership drops those to $51.64, $45.07, and $38.50, and adds reservations up to 10 days out, 10 small range baskets, $5 range balls, and 10% off select pro shop merchandise. Proper golf attire is required on the course and practice areas (no denim, cut-offs, cargo shorts, or tee shirts).

The club runs a Ladies League on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 8:30 and a Men's League on Monday and Thursday mornings at 8:45, books golf outings and events, and hosts First Tee Treasure Coast junior programming.
A full-service restaurant open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week, with daily lunch specials. The grill is also available for private parties and catering.
Port Salerno's Manatee Pocket waterfront is a few minutes east, and downtown Stuart is a short drive north.
Atlantic Ridge Preserve State Park borders the Summerfield area, and Halpatiokee Regional Park and Sandsprit Park on the Manatee Pocket are close by.
Bathtub Reef Beach on Hutchinson Island and St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park are the closest Atlantic beaches.
Historic Port Salerno has marinas and charters on the Manatee Pocket, and downtown Stuart adds shopping, dining, and the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center nearby on Hutchinson Island.
