Course Overview
Monarch Country Club is a private club in Palm City, operated by Invited (formerly ClubCorp), inside the gated Monarch community. Its 18-hole course opened in 1987 and was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay in the tradition of South Florida courses, with rolling mounds on the fairways, sculpted contours and semicircular backdrops behind many greens. The signature hole is the par-5 14th, a risk-reward second shot to an island green, and the 9th plays to a well-bunkered peninsula green. Water comes into play on the 8th, 11th, 16th, 17th and 18th, and the closing par 5 is a double dogleg with the course's largest green. Membership is open to people who live inside or outside the gates, and real estate guides note it is optional for Monarch homeowners. Beyond golf, the club has six lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, two bocce courts, a junior Olympic pool, a fitness center, and the Grille Room, Bistro and Monarch Bar. The par 72 plays 6,890 yards from the Gold tees across eight sets of tees, down to 4,180 yards.

Fairway Conditions
Monarch's defenses are mounding, bunkers and water: the club describes the 7th as a 90-degree dogleg right to an elevated, bunkered green and the hardest hole on the course, the 15th green as guarded by the deepest bunkers on the property, and the 17th as a multi-tiered green with water down the left. A GolfPass reviewer called it a solid layout in nice condition and finished in about four hours. In season the course is open daily from 7 am with a first tee time at 8 am, and the driving range opens at 7 am.

Palm City has a humid subtropical climate with mild, drier winters and hot, humid summers, so golf is played year-round. Peak season from November through April brings comfortable mid-70s highs. Summers reach the upper 80s and low 90s with afternoon thunderstorms common from June through September. The club runs shorter summer hours from May 1 through September 30.

Per club materials (2026-27 season), guest green fees including cart are $135 for 18 holes and $91 for 9 holes in season, and $98 for 18 holes and $67 for 9 holes out of season. Who Can Join
Monarch is owned and operated by Invited. Memberships are split into Residents (living in the neighborhood) and Non-Residents (living outside the gates). All memberships are family memberships covering the primary member, a spouse or significant other, and dependents under 23, or under 25 if in school full time and living at home. There are no food and beverage minimums and members are not assessed. The membership year runs October 1 through September 30, and dues and fees are prorated by join date.

Tournaments & Events
Members play in Men's and Women's 18-hole and 9-hole golf associations, a Family Program with couples events throughout the year and club tournaments, and juniors can join the Crush It! program. Monarch also hosts corporate, charity and groom's golf outings, with add-ons such as hole-in-one packages, food and beverage on and off the course, custom course signage, on-course clinics and rental clubs.

Grille Room & Monarch Bar
The Grille Room serves casual fare with golf on the large-screen TV, and the Monarch Bar is a member favorite after a round. In season (October 1 to April 30) the Grille and Bistro serve lunch daily and dinner on Thursday and Friday; summer brings Tiki Sundays.

Used for member events, weddings and private events, and can be partitioned for smaller events and business meetings.
