Course Overview

Miles Grant Country Club is a private club in the Miles Grant community of Stuart, near Port Salerno and the Manatee Pocket, with an 18-hole executive course surrounded by homes and condominiums. The course opened in 1972, designed by Charles M. Mahannah and built by Mahannah & Howard Associates, and Sanford Golf Design produced a master improvement plan in 2002, with TifEagle greens installed in 2003 and 2005. It is a par 64 of two par 5s, six par 4s and ten par 3s, and one hole can play as a par 4 or par 5. There are just two lakes, one wrapping the 18th and bordering the 17th, plus 49 bunkers, and the club says a round takes under four hours, riding or walking. The land was part of an 1813 Spanish land grant to settler Samuel Miles. Beyond golf, members have a clubhouse with a dining room and the Samuel Miles Tavern, a pool, tennis and pickleball, a fitness room, bocce and shuffleboard, and a busy social calendar. The course plays 4,712 yards from the Blue tees (62.5 / 104) down to 3,662 yards from the Gold tees.

Fairway Conditions

The course covers 88 acres with Bermuda fairways and TifEagle greens, and only two lakes, so bunkers and short, precise approaches do most of the defending. GolfPass reviewers rate it 4.1 out of 5, with pace of play the standout at 4.6, and all ten reviewers recommend it. With ten par 3s it suits newer golfers, and the club says players of every level, from seniors to juniors, still find it a challenge. The club notes there is always a breeze, and the course closes on Mondays starting June 1 in summer 2026.
