McArthur Golf Club is a private, golf-focused club off U.S. 1 in Hobe Sound, next door to The Medalist and on the same sand ridge as Jupiter Hills. The land belongs to the McArthur family, whose dairy business began in Florida in the 1920s, and the club's milk bottle logo nods to that history. The original course, now called the Front Yard, opened in 2002 and was designed by Tom Fazio with PGA Tour star Nick Price. Fazio framed its holes with expanses of exposed white sand in dunes, slopes and hollows, a look Golf Digest says started a trend, and the course ranks No. 157 on Golf Digest's Second 100 Greatest and No. 8 in Florida (2025-26). In 2023 the club opened the Back Yard, a second 18 by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw built through the wetlands and woods just inland of the original course to give existing members more room rather than to add new ones. Golf Digest described its green complexes as some of the most varied the firm has built, from the saucer-like par-3 5th behind a diagonal berm to the punchbowl 8th. The Front Yard is a par 72 of 7,205 yards (74.1 / 142) and the Back Yard a par 71 of 6,902 yards (73.7 / 134).

Both courses have Bermuda turf, with Tifway 419 fairways and TifEagle ultra-dwarf greens on the Front Yard, and native sand and scrub framing nearly every hole. Golf Digest panelists score the Front Yard's conditioning at 7.74, its highest category, and reviewers call the greens some of the fastest and best putting surfaces in South Florida. The Back Yard was sand-capped for drainage, with bridges and decks carrying play across preserved wetlands between islands of turf. From the Black tees the Back Yard's par 3s run from 138 to 261 yards.
